Refinisher Paint Camp

Monday - Wednesday, June 26 - 28, 8:00 am - Noon

Technical Campus, 2550 Bending Branch Way, Allen

This camp is open to participants grades 9-12. Participants explore how to prepare a panel to refinish, apply waterborne paint technology, and create custom paint designs using fine-line tape. Campers will learn the fundamentals of automotive refinishing as well as the safety aspects. Campers will create their own design and take home a custom-designed miniature hood. Campers will encounter dust, chemicals, and paint fumes. Due to the nature of the environment, those with dust and allergen sensitivities may be susceptible to acute respiratory reactions. Air-supplied respirators, 3M particulate respirators, and all other safety equipment will be provided. Students will also receive a camp T-shirt. The cost is $175.
